This library planner was created for you to help you organize your work more efficiently, and to inspire you with new ideas and strategies to try over the school year. The tips are designed to support most library programs regardless of your students’ grade level and academic abilities. This planner is the culmination of ideas suggested by colleagues, with input from interviews and peer reviews.

You wouldn't understand...it's a school librarian thing!

"I have been poring over this planner since I got it yesterday. It has obviously been designed by a master librarian. Kristina's added value is greater and greater the further I get into the calendar. Yes, you get the opportunity to write your lesson plans, but you also are guided through administrative tasks and data collection. Each month you have blocks for goals, professional development, event (author visits, contests, special events) planning, social media, weeding, updated budget spending, etc. This makes it so easy to keep up with the administrative part of the job and makes it a breeze to remember what you are doing when you need to pull those details out to advocate for your program for admins or stakeholders. Each week you have leading questions to improve your program ("how do you empower your students to be independent users of your print and digital resources?") with space to brainstorm. If you don't have ideas or need further assistance, there is a second block with suggestions ("Create a multimedia library handbook for teachers and students who are new to your school"). She even includes links to more information, like a template for a handbook. This is a game changer. All of those projects you meant to get to but have never had time now have a jump start." - Linda Martin

"Kristina, thank you for designing this. This will be my second year as a school library media coordinator and I am excited about being able to use this for my upcoming school year."  - Renea Tharrington

"Thank you, Kristina, for designing the perfect planner for a librarian! I was just sitting here looking through it page by page thinking how you went above and beyond with this! I love your monthly activity ideas with links to online books and templates, places to note weeding, book requests, action plan goals and objectives. So many great details!"  - Melinda Bender
